On getting better, one minute a day

You will crawl out of this stage.

It will pass.

Breathe.

Repeat your mantra. Something as simple as ”you are safe, you are great.” Say it out loud so you can hear it.

Give yourself a pat on the shoulder for accomplishing even the small things. I cleaned. I washed my kid. Despite all of this, I read a book for my toddler. I cooked. I am getting better every minute.

I won’t let irrational fear take over my life. I refuse to be swallowed. I am walking away from it. I will be fine. Retain a sense of normalcy as much as you can.
